BASN

(Bay Area Services Network)

BASN is a drug and alcohol recovery program designed for people on California state parole.  Second Chance is a partner in a network of service providers who offer various modalities of recovery services to this population.  Participation is limited to parolees .  Participants must be referred by their parole officer.

We offer groups each week at our Hayward, Newark and Ashland centers (Click on LOCATIONS on our Home Page for map and directions) which are specifically for parolees who need to develop clean and sober coping skills and who need support and education to successfully complete their parole obligation.  In addition, participants attend "regular" (open to public) support groups, workshops, individual counseling, and case management, for a minimum of five hours of participation each week.  We also house three participants at a time in a supervised "clean and sober house".

Parolees wishing help with a substance abuse problem should contact RON OWENS at (510) 792-4357.
